Just saw this thing about Paint Your Own Russian Dolls on PSFK.
Now it’s unlike them to be so late to the game. Weiden+Kennedy had a window display of painted dolls back in June ’06.
But ages before that. September ’05 in fact (for my birthday) Sophie had made me a set of Russian Dolls that look just like me. Isn’t she clever, and nice, and talented, and well ahead of the global trends curve.
And in a strange twist of fate she’s now working at Weiden+Kennedy. I don’t think it was the dolls that got her the job though…?
