It seems to be a big movement in Cape Town at the moment with the likes of Jack Parow getting into the mix. It's a lot funnier if you can understand Afrikaans and the local colloquialisms. Overall it's a pretty polished effort for the motherland.

Max Normal / Ninja / Waddy Jones – real name Watkin Tudor Jones. Him and Jack Parow are the new voice of the electro / hip-hop underground. The video is shot in Cape Town's Belville, a very Afrikaans suburb.
Waddy is a true artist, in that he constantly reinvents himself and can creatively express himself across multiple genres and platforms.
What I love most about him is that he does play down his “localness” to try and make him self more internationally palatable. He plays it up, which makes him uncompromising and unique.
