As well as containing some of the most phenomenal break dancing I’ve ever seen this documentary is culturally pretty deep. It follows the stories of a number of teams from different countries in the runup to Battle of the Year contest, giving a glimpse into their very different backgrounds and personal situations.
There’s some amazing family scenes in the film where you see the strange and sometimes amazing relationships some of these guys have with their parents. And how they change from culture to culture.
